Maritza Smith
Founder & Head Trainer
Fitness educator, movement lover, and community builder — with certifications in aerial movement, Pilates, barre, and yoga modalities. Her passion? Helping people move better, think clearer, and feel confident in their own bodies.
Bio:
During my time in England, I discovered Yoga Trapeze — and it was love at first inversion. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling: to create movement experiences that build strength, confidence, and joy.
I founded BodyMindFit Studio in George, South Africa as a space rooted in energy, laughter, community, and real results. Expect challenging workouts, great music, genuine connection, and classes that leave you feeling stronger, clearer, and uplifted — inside and out.

Can beginners do Yoga Trapeze (Aerial Pilates)?
Yes - as long as you have basic strength and are open to learning. You don't need aerial experience, but you should be comfortable supporting your body weight and following structured instruction. We build skills progressively and safely.
Do you need to be fit to start SCULPT 10X?
SCULPT 10X is suitable for most people with a base level of strength. If you can hold a plank and control weights, you're ready. From there, we build real strength progressively.
Can movements be adapted if I'm struggling?
Yes. While the classes are challenging, most movements can be adapted, modified, or scaled to meet you where you are. We encourage listening to your body and progressing at your own pace — progress over perfection.
How long before i start feeling stronger?
Most people notice improvement within a few weeks — sometimes sooner. Grip strength, core strength, stamina and overall confidence improve quickly with regular practice.
What kind of person thrives here?
People who enjoy being challenged, want visible results, are open to learning, value community and encouragement and prefer results over comfort zones. If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in.
